Shamanic Threshold Ceremony
Shamanic Threshold Ceremony
Holding space for transformation. A personalised shamanic ceremony for life's changes.
Service Description
There are times in life when we find ourselves standing between what has been and what is yet to come. Sometimes change is chosen; sometimes it arrives unexpectedly. A relationship changes, a familiar role falls away, or a story we have lived by for years no longer fits. We may understand what is happening intellectually, but emotionally we need time and space to catch up. The Shamanic Threshold Ceremony offers an intentional space to acknowledge what is changing and give attention to the thoughts, feelings and emotions that come with it. It is an opportunity to say what has gone unsaid, express what has been difficult to share, grieve what is ending, honour what has been and begin to make room for what comes next. People often seek a Threshold Ceremony when they: • Are navigating a significant life change, chosen or unexpected. • Are experiencing grief, loss or an ending. • Are adjusting to changes in family relationships, roles or identity. • Need space to explore complicated or conflicting emotions without judgement. • Feel ready to release an old story, expectation or way of being. • Are standing at a crossroads and unsure what comes next. • Want to acknowledge a significant transition rather than simply move on. Every ceremony is personalised around the individual and what they bring. I hold the space, provide the structure and guide the ceremony, drawing on shamanic practice and ritual. This may include calling in the directions and elements, reflection, drumming, journey work, symbolic actions, written intentions, fire, water, smoke or cards. There is no prescribed script or expectation of what you should feel, say or release. The ceremony unfolds in response to you and what emerges. Sometimes the most important part is simply having somewhere to put everything down, without needing to explain yourself, justify your feelings or look after anyone else’s emotions. People may leave feeling lighter, clearer or more grounded, with a sense that something has been acknowledged or shifted. Every experience is different, and nothing needs to be resolved in a single sitting. A threshold is the space between two stages of life. You don’t always need to know what lies on the other side. Sometimes you simply need the space to stand where you are, honour what has brought you here, and be witnessed as you find your way forward.
