What Is Reiki & Energetic Empowerment? This treatment combines the deeply restorative effects of Reiki with Reiju, a traditional Japanese practice within the Reiki system that translates as “spiritual blessing” or “energy bestowal.” Reiju is used to support a person in opening more fully to Reiki energy, strengthening their connection to it and enhancing their ability to receive its benefits. Reiki, originally developed by Mikao Usui, works by channelling universal life force energy through the body to restore balance across the physical, emotional and energetic systems. It helps to calm the nervous system, release tension and create space for natural healing. The session begins with you lying comfortably on a treatment table, fully clothed, receiving Reiki through gentle touch or hands held just above the body. This allows your system to settle, soften and open. You will then be guided into a seated position for the second part of the treatment. Here, Reiju is offered as a focused energetic process, where Reiki energy is directed through your system — flowing from the crown, down through the spine and into the energy centres. This is not about removing or extracting anything, but about allowing your system to be gently filled and supported by the energy, encouraging greater flow, alignment and connection.
