September Newsletter –
Coming Back Into Autumn

The shift from summer into a season of new beginnings, fresh perspective and intention.

I hope you’re keeping well and making the most of these last days of summer.

September has always felt like an interesting point in the year to me. It’s not quite the beginning of a new year, but there is something about the shift from summer into autumn that feels like another kind of new beginning.

The lighter, slower days of summer begin to change. Life starts to find a little more structure again. And perhaps, after the busyness (or the glorious lack of structure!) of summer, there’s an opportunity to pause and ask:

What am I taking with me into the next season - and what am I ready to leave behind?

I’m going to be asking myself some of those questions too.

Making space for something new

I’m taking some time away in September, so I’ll be available for in-person appointments up to and including Saturday 5 September, before taking a few weeks away. I’m spending some of that time investing in my own learning and development, as I head off for some further training. There’s something rather fitting about beginning a new season by being willing to learn something new, isn’t there?

I’ll still be offering a small number of online appointments while I’m away, including card readings, Reiki and some shamanic  processes, so if you’d like to work together during that time, just get in touch.

I’ll be back to in-person appointments towards the end of September. I’m looking forward to coming back with fresh eyes, fresh ideas and a little more space to see what wants to unfold next.

Coming back into autumn

Maybe that’s what September can offer all of us. Not the pressure of a January-style “new year, new me”. Just a gentle opportunity to notice where you are.

What has changed over the summer?

What have you discovered about yourself?

What no longer feels quite right?

And what would you like to make a little more space for?

Sometimes a new beginning doesn’t need a grand plan. Sometimes it’s simply about crossing a threshold with a little more intention.

Something to share when I return

When I’m back, I’m doing something a little different with the gong baths.

From Monday 28 September to Saturday 3 October, I’m bringing back my Bring a Friend for Free Gong Bath Week.

There will be six sessions across the week, with two people able to experience a gong bath together for £20 -  the usual price of one place.

There’s just one condition: the friend you bring needs to be new to my gong baths. They don’t need to be new to gong baths generally; this is simply an opportunity to introduce someone new to the experience at Essential Energies.

As a thank you for being part of my newsletter community, you’ll get first chance to choose your session before I share the week more widely.

Spaces are limited, so if you’ve got someone in mind, this could be a lovely opportunity to share something together.

And then there’s Sacred Journey

The other new beginning arriving this autumn is, of course, Sacred Journey.

The first circle begins on Monday 5 October, so the Bring a Friend week finishes just in time for us to move into this next chapter.

I’m deliberately not going to repeat everything I’ve already shared about the circles here - you’ve heard plenty about them from me recently!

But if you’ve been wondering whether Sacred Journey might be for you, there’s still plenty of opportunity to find out more.

A final thought

As summer begins to give way to autumn, perhaps this is a good time to pause before rushing into whatever comes next.

You don’t have to know exactly where you’re going. You don’t have to reinvent yourself. Maybe you just need to notice what feels worth carrying forward. And what you’re ready to put down.

Whatever September brings for you, I hope there’s a little space in it for that.
