Hi, I’m Esther, founder of Essential Energies.

Receiving my Gong Practitioner certification

Like many women, I’ve found myself at different points in life where something had to change.
Sometimes the changes were chosen, and sometimes they were forced through challenge, grief, loss, motherhood, relationships.... And sometimes the change came about by simply reaching a point where the life I was living no longer fit who I was becoming, or the version of me no longer fit the life I had.
There have been times where I completely lost the thread of who I was underneath everything life expected me to be.
And although those experiences were incredibly difficult at times, they also became the moments that shaped me most deeply.
Because healing isn’t passive.
Growth doesn’t simply happen to us.
At certain points in life, we have to consciously choose to look at ourselves honestly, do the work, and decide who we want to become moving forward.
That process, repeated many times, has shaped not only who I am, but how I now hold space for others.
I’ve lived through things, I’ve done the work, I’m still doing the work......and now I support other women doing the same.
Many of the women I work with are navigating transitions in their own lives. Sometimes they feel emotionally exhausted, disconnected from themselves or stuck in survival mode after years of being what everybody else needed them to be.
Often, they’re reaching a point where they want something different.
More authenticity.
More honesty.
More connection to themselves.
More freedom to live in a way that actually feels aligned.

My role isn’t to “fix” people.
My role is to offer a grounded, supportive and safe space where healing, self awareness and reconnection can happen.
My own journey into this work began many years ago with a lovely lady named Valerie, who introduced me to Angel Cards. She loved me even though she barely knew me, and she encouraged me to know and love myself more deeply too. She played a huge part in opening the door to the work I do today.
In 2020, I became a certified Soul Coaching Oracle Card Reader, although my journey with cards had begun many years earlier through Valerie’s guidance and encouragement.
My Reiki training first began in 2009, and over the years I continued through to Master Teacher level, deepening both my understanding of energy work and my own personal healing journey.
Opening Essential Energies was specifically inspired by learning the AromaTouch Technique and understanding how important nervous system support, safe human touch, and genuine connection can be for emotional wellbeing.
In 2024, I qualified as a Shamanic Practitioner following a deeply transformative period of healing and personal growth within my own life. Later that same year, I also qualified as a Gong Practitioner, allowing me to bring sound healing, gong baths and vibrational work into my practice alongside energy healing.
Today, my work includes Reiki, sound healing, Shamanic healing, intuitive guidance and energy work, with each session held in a way that is grounded, supportive and tailored to the individual.
This work can be gentle, but it is also deeply honest.
Healing asks us to feel, to face ourselves truthfully and to reconnect with the parts of ourselves that may have been buried underneath years of responsibility, expectation or survival.
Whether somebody comes to me for Reiki, sound healing, Shamanic healing or guidance, my intention is always the same:
to hold a safe, supportive space where they can reconnect more fully and authentically with who they are.
Essential Energies

Essential Energies offers Reiki, shamanic healing, sound healing, oracle guidance and energy work in a calm, private space designed to support healing, reflection and reconnection.
My work is grounded in the belief that healing is not about “fixing” ourselves, but about understanding ourselves more deeply and reconnecting with who we are underneath stress, conditioning, responsibility and survival mode.
Some treatments are gentle and restorative, while others can be deeper and more transformative. Whatever the session, my role is to hold a supportive and grounded space where clients feel safe, seen and actively involved in their own healing journey.
Shamanic healing forms an important part of my work and may include practices such as soul
retrieval, womb healing, journeying and past life therapy. These sessions are deeply personal
and are always approached with care, respect and collaboration.
Essential Energies is based in a cosy chalet treatment space in my back garden.
It's a quiet, welcoming environment where clients can step away from everyday life and
focus fully on themselves for a while.
(There are four steps leading into the chalet space.)

What is Shamanism?
Shamanism is one of the oldest spiritual practices in the world, with roots found across many different cultures and traditions throughout history.
At its heart, Shamanic work is about connection; connection to ourselves, to nature, to spirit, and to the parts of ourselves that can become lost underneath stress, trauma, expectation and everyday life.
Shamanic healing works with the understanding that emotional, energetic and spiritual imbalances can affect the way we perform and experience life. Through healing practices, journeying and deep inner work, Shamanism aims to support healing, insight, reconnection and personal transformation.
Although the word “Shamanism” can sometimes sound unfamiliar or intimidating, my own approach is grounded, supportive and accessible. This work isn’t about asking people to step away from reality; if anything, it’s about helping people reconnect more honestly and deeply with themselves.
I undertook an intensive year long 1-1 training with Shamanic Willow, involving deep personal healing work, extensive practice and case study work before qualifying as a Shamanic Practitioner in 2024.
My training was rooted strongly in Celtic Shamanic traditions and earth-based spiritual practices, alongside healing processes influenced by Q’ero teachings from Peru and other Shamanic traditions from North and South America.
Today, my own Shamanic practice is shaped both by those teachings and by my own authentic connection with spirit, healing work and personal experience.
